2012 Summer Workshop
Risk Assessment of Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Groundwater
1-Day Workshop at Armada House, Bristol, BS1 4BQ on 28th June 2012
Petroleum hydrocarbons are hazardous substances under the Groundwater Regulations and one of most the most common and problematic contaminants impacting groundwater resources. The workshop aims to:
- Give the background on analytical and forensic methodologies for petroleum hydrocarbons and discuss how to take the most appropriate samples in site investigation
- Examine the key issues in risk assessment modelling and vapour risk assessment; and
- Present developments in policy covering Groundwater Regulations, Part 2a and ongoing initiatives.
This workshop follows the same format as the last two year’s highly successful workshops with thought-provoking presentations in the morning followed by an afternoon of break-out session discussion groups.
Attendance costs £110 and is open to SoBRA members who may book online by logging on to their SoBRA account and then clicking here. Non SoBRA members must first join SoBRA before booking the event. Attendees will be asked for their workshop discussion group preferences prior to the event.
